Overview
Job Title: Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant
Location: Liphook Infant School (11.45am – 1.15pm) or Liphook Junior School (12.15pm – 1.15 pm)
Purpose: To be a member of the team responsible for the smooth running of the lunchtime arrangements Hours of work: To be arranged. This post is on a casual basis working 1 – 5 days per week or days to suit although ideally we would like you to work Monday - Friday
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To ensure that all children have lunch, and to report to the Senior Supervisor any child who frequently has an inadequate lunch or has any other problems or difficulties.
2. To provide pastoral care, for the children, during the lunchtime period.
3. To be aware of the school Behaviour Management Policy and to promote these within the school and to be responsible for the conduct of the children during the lunch hour.
4. To provide a friendly point of contact for the children, while also helping to ensure a good standard of behaviour by being firm and fair in dealings with children whenever necessary.
5. To administer first aid and medicines, as necessary, during the lunch hour and to care for children who are unwell.
6. To help organise and supervise games/play at lunchtime with children in different groups.
7. To take part in regular training sessions as required.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £12.66 per hour plus 12.07% of the hourly rates of casual workers, to reflect rolled up holiday pay
