Our Learning Hearts & Federation Promise

At Liphook Federation, we have developed our very own 10 Learning Hearts - essential skills that help our children become confident, resilient, and lifelong learners.

We begin introducing these skills in Year R, starting in the autumn term, and gradually build upon them throughout Years R to 2. Over their seven-year journey with us, these skills become deeply embedded, shaping each child’s learning experience and personal growth.

Our Learning Hearts empower children to:

  • Believe they can achieve anything – fostering a growth mindset
  • Work well with others – developing collaboration
  • Keep going, even when it’s tough – building perseverance
  • Communicate effectively – through speech, writing, and creativity
  • Find different ways to solve problems – using learning tools
  • Think outside the box – encouraging creativity
  • Bounce back from challenges – strengthening resilience
  • Learn independently – growing their independence
  • Listen and act on feedback – valuing advice from others
  • Consider all sides of an argument  think critically

These skills go beyond the classroom and join with our core values, shaping our children into kind, capable individuals who are ready for the future. At Liphook Federation, our curriculum is designed to give every child the best opportunitieshelping them make choices, develop kindness, and become learners for life.

Our Federation Promise

Our Federation Promise encapsulates a rich range of personal, social and cultural opportunities which we believe every child has the right to experience.

In addition to this, we host a variety of special days and weeks, including our annual International Day, World Book Day, Sports Day, and Oracy Week, offering our students exciting opportunities to engage with different aspects of learning and personal development.

We also place great importance on school trips, which significantly enhance and bring to life the topics we study in the classroom.
